2013 Special Event Rules
South Bend Motor Speedway 2013 TRAIN RACE RULES
THE RACE - The Train Race will consist of a determined number of laps after a car count is established - minimum 15 laps. NOTE: This Race Could Be Run Forward or Backwards on the race track!!
THE TEAMS - Each Train Team will be made up of Two Full Size cars, trucks, vans (or combination of two) and one mini car, truck, or van. The Train will be made up with one full size vehicle at the front (The Engine) and the other full size vehicle in the rear (The Caboose). The mini vehicle (The Passenger Car) will be in the middle. Sorry but you may NOT have any passengers in the Passenger Car! There must be an Engineer (driver) in the Engine (front car) and a Conductor (driver) in the Caboose (rear car). NO radios, mirrors, or any kind of electronic communication will be allowed.
THE TRAIN - The cars used in making up the train will be demolition derby rules cars. All rules for your Train cars must conform to our regular demo rules. The cars of your Train must be fastened together so as not to come disengaged during the race. You may use any means of hooking your cars together as long as it is secure and safe. Final approval will be by the tech officials. If your train comes apart, you will be black flagged.

This race is being done for entertainment for our spectators and the success of this depends on your cooperation & ingenuity to have a little fun. This is a RACE, not a demolition derby!
